When should I market my St Albans home in 2022? 15 Jan 2022

2021 was a phenomenal year for us at Heartwood Homes and the property market with record breaking numbers of properties sold across the area resulting in a 10.4% increase to property prices year on year*.

2022 has got off to a flying start, usually we would expect the market to slowly build in this period, however there seems to be an increased energy from buyers. Currently there are more buyers than sellers in the market resulting in a strong sellers-market.

In most, normal, years (what is normal these days!) we would advise our clients to start marketing their properties in February/March, when the market is at its busiest. We are seeing a large number of valuations at the moment, but many are still planning to market in the early spring, however our advice to everyone that we speak to is to market now and take advantage whilst demand is strong and stock levels are relatively low.
