During my recent house sale and purchase, the team kept everything moving, with smiles and support. The beauty of Heartwood Homes is that they actually care about you and they want to find you the right buyer, at the right price for you. Foolishly, I first went with another estate agent in St Albans who offered the stars, but instead gave me an unrealistic price and disinterested viewers. After 3 months on the market, and two price drops it was clear I was with the wrong agents! Urrghh! Thankfully Jon and the team scooped me up, got my house on the market for the right - very good - price and got me a rapid sale (3 weeks!!) which then proceeded seamlessly, despite the usual bumps in the road of house selling and buying. This was followed up at the house, where I had a frank conversation with Jon. We had a sizeable chain so it took some months from first meeting to exchange and finally completion. All through the process someone from his agency kept us informed either by phone or email. We were told of every viewing - as the house was empty - and followed through with completed feedback forms from each viewer so we were never left just wondering. When a firm buyer was found Jon's team secured the best price both sides were happy with and though there were inevitable hiccups along the way each was dealt with promptly and professionally. Heartwood staff were efficient, professional, informative and very nice people shouldering all the strain that goes with selling your home. They give Estate Agents a good reputation. Charlie Kirby9 December 2024I initially spoke to Jon back in 2020 and had a really positive feeling about him however we ended up listing with a different agent as they had previously sold our property and we were interested in one they were selling. Worst mistake I could've made and I should've gone with my gut, ultimately we decided not to sell at that time but I knew that when we did Jon was the first person I would be calling. Jon was so helpful with the valuation of our property as well as providing vital insight into properties we were looking at in the area. Once the property was on the market Luci, Harry and Will were amazing with the viewings and all the aftercare that followed once we had a buyer. Luci in particular was so proactive when it came to chasing solicitors and making sure we moved towards a completion date. She also had to put up with a lot of my woe is me "This is never going to go through it is all going to go wrong" which I am very appreciative of (Sorry!). I genuinely don't think I've had an experience with an agent that comes anywhere near this (as both a buyer and a seller). David Uprichard17 February 2020I first met Jon when he was working for a large estate agency in St Albans, he's always been a breath of fresh air in an industry which doesn't always have a sparkling reputation. He took our previous home to market for us, was refreshingly honest about the price we should achieve and was a great help in offering advice on properties we were looking to purchase. He assured me he would be on hand should I require any further help. I have on several occasions asked his advice, which he has given willingly. Jon Brooks10 January 2020I was very impressed with the overall service and guidance from Jon with the sale of my property. He kept me updated weekly with the progress and feedback from viewings. I was also sent weekly information about the searches made on my property online which I found really useful. When my property was valued he immediately filled me with confidence that he would work hard to sell my property and he did just that. My partner and I just had a baby so my time was limited but he was excellent at making the whole process go as smoothly as possible. I would definitely use Jon again.Load more
