St Saviour’s Beer & Fizz Festival – Family Day 2024 8 Jul 2024
Join us for this years St Saviour’s Beer & Fizz Festival Family Day
For the second year running, Heartwood Homes are excited to be sponsoring and helping to organise the family day St Saviour’s Beer and Fizz Festival. Last year was a huge success with the help of so many wonderful volunteers that worked in the lead up to and on the day.
We are excited to announce that this year all proceeds from the family day activities will be going to DS Achieve. Events like this mean so much to small charities, so please do come down and support them.
“Thank you so much for choosing DS Achieve as the St Saviour’s Beer and Fizz Family Day charity! Small charities are under more pressure than ever and having support from the community at the St Saviour’s Family Day will enable us to raise vital funds and local awareness of our services, so that we can reach more families and continue enabling children and young people with Down Syndrome to reach their individual potential. Your support will make a real difference for us as a charity and the people we work with – thank you!” DS Achieve

DS Achieve is a small, local charity which works with families and professionals in Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties to enable children and young people with Down Syndrome to reach their potential, whatever that may be.
Their focus is education and development and we support and champion children and young people with Down Syndrome by:
- providing advice and support to their parents and carers.
- ensuring professionals are knowledgeable and skilled.
- creating a positive, inclusive community.
They offer a number of services, including:
- an early years intervention programme called ‘Little Achievers’ for 0-5s
- a social development programme for school age children and young people up to 17 years called ‘Young Achievers’
- training for families and professionals
- bespoke onsite guidance and training for nurseries and schools called ‘Resources into Schools’
- volunteering opportunities for young people with Down Syndrome to develop their social and work-based skills… and more.
We will be there busy organising, we look forward to seeing some familiar faces on the day.
