Wrapped Up in Supporting our Community this Christmas 11 Dec 2025

As the festive season approaches, many of us look forward to moments of celebration, comfort and connection. But for some in our community, Christmas can be one of the hardest times of the year. Throughout 2025 we’ve been committed to supporting charity, and as December arrives, we’re making one final donation for the year. We’d love it if you would join us in this last act of kindness.

This Christmas, we’re supporting St Albans Action for the Homeless, a local organisation working directly with people living on the streets in our city. They offer practical help, compassion and essential support to those who need it most. Every penny donated goes straight to helping someone in St Albans stay warm, fed and safe.

With the rising cost of living and increasing strain on local services, even a small contribution can make a meaningful impact. To give you a sense of exactly what your generosity can achieve, here’s how far a few pounds can go:

✨ £4 – buys a meal deal from Tesco, Greggs, Sainsbury’s and other local shops
✨ £12 – provides a lightweight Eurohike sleeping bag
✨ £21 – buys a warmer hooded sleeping bag
✨ £40 – provides a heavy-duty winter sleeping bag
✨ £60 – covers a night in a hotel during extreme weather or when someone is unwell

These aren’t abstract figures—they translate directly into comfort, safety and dignity for real people in our community.
