Celebrating Community Spirit: Postbox Toppers Return for December 2025 28 Nov 2025
December has officially arrived in St Albans, which means one of our favourite local traditions is back — the beautifully crafted Postbox Toppers that bring festive cheer to our high streets while raising vital funds for local charities. We’re delighted to be sponsoring a topper again this year, marking our third year supporting this incredible community initiative.
We attended the official launch this morning, camera in hand, and as always, it was a joy to see the creativity, care and sheer enthusiasm that goes into every single piece. The toppers have become a much-loved part of the city’s festive identity — colourful, imaginative and completely community-powered.
Supporting Two Fantastic Local Charities
Each year, the St Albans Postboxes community selects charities that make a meaningful difference locally. For 2025, the focus is on two remarkable organisations:
💙 Comfort Cases UK
Comfort Cases UK provides essential items to children entering the care system, offering them a sense of dignity, belonging and comfort at a time of enormous change. Instead of children arriving at a new placement with only a plastic bag of belongings, Comfort Cases gives them a backpack filled with personal essentials and comforting items that show they are valued.
💜 Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline
Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline is a confidential, non-judgmental service supporting individuals impacted by domestic abuse across Hertfordshire. The helpline operates with compassion and discretion, ensuring that anyone who needs immediate emotional support or guidance has somewhere to turn.
Both charities do crucial work for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, and we’re honoured to play a small part in helping raise funds and awareness for them this year.
Proud to Be Involved — Again!
Being part of this initiative for the third year running means a great deal to us. The toppers don’t just spread festive joy — they raise an incredible amount for small local charities, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of the public. It’s a perfect example of community spirit in action.
