Is it time to sell?
Its now been five weeks since the general election and so far, the signs for the housing market this year are positive. In December, sales were up 6.2% according to HM Revenue and Customs and this year so far Rightmove have recorded a 2.3% rise in new seller asking prices; this is the largest increase recorded at this time of year since Rightmove started tracking in 2002.
After so much uncertainty over the last three years, now may be the time for sellers to start thinking about moving again. If the predictions for a buoyant housing market are correct it is important to make sure that you have an agent on board that you trust, as well as how your property is presented to potential buyers.
