By marketing before you have found a property you allow yourself time; time allows for you to market your home without rushing the process, get your photos and details prepared well, host an open day if appropriate and secure a good offer with a chain free buyer or a strong chain in place. It is important to note that when any good agent is presenting offers to a client, they will not only be advising their client to consider the offer but also the position of the buyer and how strong their chain is.

If your home is not under offer, or at least on the market when it is time to make an offer you may find there are far stronger offers on the table that no amount of money can change. Your buyers will often wait to give you the opportunity to find a property, as long as your agent is clear and honest from the outset.
